Lash Extension Aftercare
-
How to cleanse lashes with a lash extension specific cleanser and a clean fluffy makeup brush:
-
With your lash cleanser pump 1-2 pumps of foam cleanser on each eye
-
Take your fluffy makeup brush and gently cleanse your top lash line in a downwards motion, as well as on your bottom lashes in a side to side motion
-
To clear excess foam take some water in your palms and pour it on your eyes or use a rinse bottle
-
Lastly dab your lashes gently with a dry towel, air dry, or use a lash fan to dry your lashes (do not use a blow dryer)
-
Once dry, brush them with a spoolie to fluff them up!
-
Now your lashes are clean!
-
*Lash extensions need to be cleansed twice daily to ensure long lasting results!
-
Other aftercare guidelines:
-
Avoid using cotton rounds and q-tips around your lash extensions as the cotton fibers can get caught in your lashes!
-
Avoid heat near your lashes (for example: fires, oven heat, blow dryer heat, etc) this can singe your lashes and will require a removal and new set if this happens!
-
Use oil-free makeup remover on your eyes prior to cleanser if you do wear makeup often!
-
Avoid getting hair products on or around your eyes!
-
Avoid oil-based products around your eyes!
-
Avoid sleeping on your stomach or side as this can cause fallout of the extensions!
-
I recommend cleansing your lashes after crying, swimming, and the gym!
-
*To maintain your lash extensions, please come in every 2-3 weeks for a fill to ensure the integrity of your lash line. There must be at least 40% of lash extensions remaining for a fill, otherwise a full set will be required.
Lash Lift Aftercare
-
Avoid getting your lashes wet for at least 24 hours to allow your lashes to take on their new curl and tint!
-
Do not curl your lashes!
-
Avoid rubbing your eyes!
-
Avoid sleeping on your stomach or side, this will ensure that no odd kinks are created and curl will stay intact!
-
Brush your lashes up daily!
-
Please wait up to 48 hours prior to applying mascara if desired!
-
Use a professional lash serum, such as Revive7 or Keratin Lash Conditioner by Standout Beauty (Which I retail in studio!); to ensure your lashes remain nourished and healthy!
*To maintain the lash lift look, I recommend to come in around the 8 to 10 week mark after your first lash lift appointment to get a new lash lift treatment done.
